Fourteen out of 49 people who had been taken into custody in Istanbul on February 13 in the context of a new KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) operation, have been remanded in custody today.
Police had carried out raids and arrests in 28 cities simultaneously. Thirty-five detainees, including photographer Mehmet Özer and filmmakers Mizgin Müjde Arslan and Özay Þahin were released.
In Diyarbakýr, three out of 36 people taken into custody in the KCK operation on February 13 were filed lawsuits with arrest demand while 33, including DÝHA reporter Ýsmet Mikailoðullarý, were released after their interrogation at the prosecutor's office.
