The Revolutionary Communes Party / United Freedom Forces (DKP / BÖG) Central Executive Committee issued a statement within the scope of the Week of the Immortals, 9 to 16 May.

The statement said: "Ulaş Bayraktaroğlu, the founder leader of our party, responded to the call of history with the words of 'a new revolutionary breakthrough period has been opened and has already begun to worry the enemy', just like the Soviet armies with fascism on 9 May1945. Receiving ISIS in his own fortress, Raqqa, he became immortal."

The statement continued: "Our martyrs gave their lives for freedom dreams and the construction of an unlimited, classless, and non-exploitative world."

The statement added: "Those who seeded the soil in a territory stretching from Istanbul to Çukurova to Derik are thos will shake the exploitation order from its foundations. The voice that comes from the history and rises from the territory we live in today is the call to send rotten and smelly capitalism to the place it deserves in history."
