The Democratic Kurdish Society Center Council held its 6th congress in the suburb of Drancy in Paris.
Over 300 delegates participated in the congress at the Pir Sultan Abdal Dervish of Paris.
The congress opened with a minute silence to pay tribute to the martyrs of freedom after which the hunger strike resistance led by DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven was commended.
The congress underlined that it was necessary to achieve the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader, Abdullah Ocalan and insisted on the need to support the hunger strike resistance even further.
After reading and evaluating the previous activity report, a new 50-person council was elected to serve for the new term.
