Deir ez-Zor Military Council (DMC) commander Ahmad Abu Khawla spoke to YPG Press Office about the Cizre Storm Operation to liberate the east of the Euphrates and Deir ez-Zor, officially launched yesterday.

DMC Commander said the operation has been initiated on two axes, one from Road 47 Shadadi, the other from Abu Khashab route.

Khawla stated that the campaign is important because of their preparations as Deir ez-Zor Military Council, also to support the ongoing Raqqa operation which –he said- is on the verge of completion.

DMC Commander remarked that the forces to participate in the campaign are those within the SDF, no other force other than the SDF, adding: “Our promise to the people of Deir ez-Zor is that their freedom is in sight.”
