DTK calls on people to raise their voice against Turkish attacks

DTK invited all the peoples of the world, democratic civil society organizations and the international opinion to not remain silent against the fascist attacks and policies that the AKP implements on the Kurdish people.

The Democratic Society Congress (DTK) released a statement on the Turkish state's massive aerial bombardments in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq last night.

Remarking that the has chosen to attack the Kurds as a way to extend its life, DTK said that one of the aims of this attack is “to frustrate and attack the March for Democracy organised by the HDP”.

The DTK continued: “The attacks on Maxmur, Shengal and Medya Defense Zones come on the eve of the March for Democracy which will be forcing people in a way to side with war or peace, with death or life. The HDP March for Democracy should go ahead as planned.”

The DTK reminded that Turkey once again bombed a refugee camp under UN protection; "But the AKP doesn’t care about the international community, because the only thing important for it is being able to extend its lifespan.”

The statement added: “We invite all the peoples of the world, democratic civil society organizations and the international opinion to not remain silent against the fascist attacks and policies that the AKP implements on the Kurdish people. The Kurdish people should unite against this war and fascism crackdown and raise their voices in democratic and legitimate ways. The AKP wants chaos, tension and war. All Kurds should see the true face of the AKP and take a position accordingly.”
