The Democratic Society Congress (DTK) has issued a written statement celebrating the Easter Festival of the Christian people.

DTK stressed in its statement that Mesopotamia, the homeland of different cultures and faiths, has always been throughout history a land where different peoples and faith groups have lived in fraternity and solidarity as well as mutual tolerance.

“The new philosophy that grows in Mesopotamia for the co-existence of different ethnic, religious and cultural groups has become the only guarantee of the living together in fraternity of all communities”, said the statement.

DTK celebrated the Easter Festival of all Christians, saying that they hope the day becomes a means of strengthening the solidarity and fraternity among the peoples from various ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds.
