Eight people have been imprisoned and one was detained in Batman as part of the ongoing operations of political genocide.

MERSİN

13 people who had been detained in the southern province of Mersin 14 days ago, who include members of the Peoples' Union and Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Association, were referred to court after procedures at police directorate.

8 of the 13 detainees were remanded in custody on alleged charges of "membership to a terrorist organisation".

BATMAN

Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) Party Assembly member Yunus Durdu was taken into custody in Batman province last night. Durdu was taken to Dersim in the scope of an investigation launched there.
