At least 11 people have been taken into custody in Şırnak Merkez and Yüksekova today. 

The arrests followed a number of house raids in various areas of the two cities.

It is understood that among the people affected by the police raids were Şırnak city council workers Şehmuz Uğur and Faysal Ertaş 

In Yüksekova the following people have been taken into custody: Savaş Özmen, Dıldar Bellier, İhsan Aksu, Yunus Kesici, Çetin Atalay, Mehmet Tatlı, Muhammet Aslan.
