Erdoğan mentions plan to settle Arabs and Turkmens in Syrian 'safe zone'

Turkey's Erdoğan insisted on their 'safe zone' plan in Syria over his enmity towards Kurds, and stated that Arabs and Turkmens will be settled in this region.

Speaking in Bahrain today, Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan continued to target Kurds and argued that: “We have driven a remarkable part of the terrorist ISIS and PYD from our borders with the Euphrates Shield operation. Now, we will continue our work by clearing al-Bab, too, of ISIS.”

Erdoğan has once again expressed his enmity towards Kurds over the 'safe zone' issue, saying the followings: "If we head towards the east and march to Manbij and Raqqa, we can create a region cleared of terror, thus our Arab and Turkmen brothers and sisters will get the chance to settle into that territory. Our goal is to turn an area of at least 4-5 square kilometers into a safe zone. Works to this end continue at the moment."

Erdoğan said he suggested US President Donald Trump starting residential construction in these areas, adding that they have asked for financial support from the US for this plan.
