Speaking at his parliamentary group on Tuesday, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said the "wise people" commission would be announced on Thursday 4 April.

The Prime Minister added that the group will be chosen from a number of people who are familiar with working about peace. It's not clear how many people would form the commission, although the PM said they would be split into each of the 7 geographical region of the country. Some commentators speculate the commission could be made up of as many as 49 people, 7 for each region.
