EU delegation to Turkey visits HDP Ankara headquarters
The European Union (EU) delegation to Turkey paid visit to the Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (HDP) headquarters in Ankara.
The European Union (EU) delegation to Turkey paid visit to the Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (HDP) headquarters in Ankara.
According to a statement released by the HDP Press Office, a delegation consisting of head of the EU Delegation to Turkey Nikolaus Mayer-Landrut, counsellor Stefano Fantaroni and political advisor Sema Kılıçer visited the HDP Headquarters in Ankara.
The delegation was welcomed by HDP co-chair Mithat Sancar and Foreign Relations Commission co-spokespersons Feleknas Uca and Hişyar Özsoy.
The future of Turkey-EU relations, the democratic backsliding in the country and the crackdown on the HDP were addressed during the meeting. The lawlessness concerning the closure case against the HDP and the Kobani trial was also scrutinized during the meeting.
