The hunger strike in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, continued on the 4th day.
The program of the fourth day of action in front of the European Parliament was really full.
To mark the Heroic Week the legendary PKK commander Mahsum Korkmaz (Egîd) was commemorated.
Women dengbêjler sang for HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven on her 142nd day of hunger strike.
Youth had performed a sketch called "Don't play three monkeys" on the third day and on the fourth it was time for a theatre performance.
Mothers were unable to keep their tears and there were very emotional moments.
Then, a chain for life was realised by mothers and activists demanding action in order to save the life of the hunger strikers. Activists and mothers urged the European Parliament to stop being silent.
Socialist Group MEP Julia Ward and Green group MEP Anna Miranna expressed their solidarity by visiting the hunger strikers.
In her speech, Ward said: “I am very happy to be here with you, protest is part of life. I wanted to visit Leyla Guven in prison, but they didn't let me. After her release, however, I was able to see her. I was part of the İmralı delegation in 2017 I wanted to visit Mr. Öcalan but the prosecutor did not allow me.”
Miranna said she was from Galicia. “We have freedom problems like you, we are demanding freedom from Spain. I salute your resistance. I visited Selahattin Demirtaş in Turkey.”
