President of European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek said that the decision by High Elections Board to exclude BDP sponsored candidates from the elections will mean that the European Parliament itself would need to follow even closer developments in Turkey.

Buzek pointed out that among the banned politicians is former MP Leyla Zana who was awarded the Sakharov prize.
