A solidarity evening was organised in Brighton, on the south coast of England, last night, to raise funds for the building of a school in Kobanê.

Those who made speeches at the well-attended event at the Sunbirds café called for support for the reconstruction process in the devastated city.

While the Koma Bênav band took the stage at the function, a large amount of money was raised through the sale of pictures by Rachel Cohen and donations, and will be send to Kobanê to be used for the construction of a school.
