According to initial reports, at least three people have died in the explosion at the station in Þelmo Oil Field of Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO).

The first reports state that an explosion happened at around 12:30 local time on Natural Gas Production Station in Þelmo oil field of TPAO , close to the Eskice Village of Kozluk. While at least three people lost their life in the explosion, the cause of the blast has not yet been established. Ambulance and fire brigade trucks were reportedly sent to the explosion area from  Batman and neighboring provinces.
