FED-DEM protested against detentions in Germany

The statement recalled that Kurds are those who have fought and defeated ISIS, the enemy of humanity.

Kurdistan Democratic Society Federation of Northern Germany (FED-DEM), issued a statement about the 7 Kurds living in Niedersachsen and surrounding areas whose houses have been raided by police.

The statement said: "We strongly condemn the practices aimed at criminalizing the Kurdish community in Germany.”

The statement continued: “There are no legal justifications for targeting 7 Kurds who are members of the Hannover People's Council. There are many excuses used to hit Kurdish activists.”

The statement added: “We believe that the latest harassment is to be connected to the events planned for the 25th anniversary of the murder of Kurdish youth Halim Dener by German police. Does the German government not want Turkish-Kurdish peace? Is its interests in war, rather than peace?"

The statement recalled that Kurds are those who have fought and defeated ISIS, the enemy of humanity.

“Maintaining dirty relations with the genocidal Turkish state, - ended the statement - giving priority to economic and political interests, does not suit Germany's democratic values and traditions.”
