Artist Ferhat Tunç called on fellow artists to take part in solidarity activities which Rojava which will be held in Ceylanpınar, near the border with Rojava. Tunç called on artists and intellectual to show their support for the people in Rojava and their brave resistance against foreign-sponsored al-Qaeda-linked armed groups.

Tunç said in his statement that "Rojava is experiencing a revolution. Kurds want to build their own future while remaining faithful to tolerance and peace", he added.
