Film commission to be established in Diyarbakir

Culture and Tourism ministry added Diyarbakýr to the number of film commissions established in other 6 cities. Diyarbakýr will have a place in that commission thanks to the request of the head of Diyarbakýr Metropolitan Municipality, Osman Baydemir to Culture and Tourism minister Ertuðrul Günay.

Osman Baydemir met with Culture and Tourism minister Ertuðrul Günay, who came for visiting the historic and touristic places of Diyarbakýr, at the airport. After that Günay and Baydemir came together at lunch. Governor of Diyarbakýr Mustafa Toprak and some deputies of AKP were at the lunch too.

Baydemir told that Culture and Tourism ministry will establish commissions in 6 cities to feature the natural speciality of Turkey that has 4 seasons. The aim is to attract foreign film producers and answer to their demands. He also added that Diyarbakýr, which has cultural and natural beauties, should be one of these cities.

Tehreupon Minister Gunay called the authorized units about the issue and wanted to put Diyarbakýr into these cities. So that Diyarbakýr joined between the commissions that will operate in Urfa, Mardin, Nevþehir, Bursa, Hatay ve Antalya. The commission that will establish in Diyarbakýr will guide the foreign producers who want to make shootings in Turkey  and help them about technical issues.
