Libertarian Lawyers Association (ÖHD) Co-President Lawyer Rotinda Polat and woman lawyers from the ÖHD visited Prof. Dr. Şebnem Korur Fincancı, who was arrested and sent to Bakırköy Women’s Closed Prison.

Fincancı sent out a message to the public through her lawyers, and said that she had expected the decision for her arrest. Fincancı stated that it was honor to be arrested and imprisoned by the Turkish state, because these acts indicate that she and her colleagues were doing the right thing.

The lawyers noted that Fincancı sent her compliments to everyone that shows solidarity with her.
