YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) have liberated a number of villages in an operation they carried out around Til Hemis upon the demand of the Arab, Assyrian and Syriac peoples living in Cizirê Canton of Rojava Kurdistan.

Local people in the liberated villages of Til Tihin, Hilwiya Mezin, Hilwiya Biçuk, Xiwetla and El Cewale tell that they appreciate the struggle of the Defense Units who they say are the only force to defend and protect them from the ISIS terror.
