Five people have been detained today on suspicion of having acted negligently in the fire that killed 11 workers on Sunday night in Istanbul.

Labor Minister Faruk Çelik said the fire is still being investigated, adding that the heaters used by the workers to keep warm might have caused the fire.

The fire destroyed the tent used as a dormitory for workers at an Ýstanbul construction site of a supermarket.
