The high commission of the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) has decided to take off America, Holland, Spain and Israel from irrigation projects which are among the more important.

According to the decision taken two months ago, the irrigation projects will be performed by State Hydraulic Works (DSÝ) after that time . It is stated that the tension with Israel didn’t influence the extracting of foreign countries from network projects.

It is also recorded that this decision is not a new phase because the working of foreign countries at irrigation networks has been in abeyance since 2002. According to the authorities, the decision means the formalizing of a model applied since 2002.
