Former Van MP and BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) co-vice president Fatma Kurtulan has been taken into custody this morning.

It is understood that Kurtulan was detained after a three hours search in her house. She, like thousands of other Kurdish politicians, has been detained in the context of the so called KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) operation.
