Police forces have carried out house raids today in the scope of an investigation launched by Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Four people were taken into custody in the operation; HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) provincial administrator Ali Bilen and Akdeniz Art Workshop staff Hebun Yüksekbağ, Dilan Demir and Cejna Saruhan.

Artist Kadir Çat was also set to be detained in the operation but he was not found home. The reason for the detentions was not disclosed.
