Fourth day of the Long March kicks off in Bensheim

The fourth day of the Long March will kick off today at 9 am from Bensheim train station. Activists will march to Mannheim.

The third day of the march, which started in Frankfurt on 8 February in order to condemn the international conspiracy against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan ended in Bensheim.

Young women led the march demanding freedom for Öcalan.

On the third day of the action, as in previous days, provocations were carried out by the German police.

Activists were attacked by police in the morning of the third day and a German young man was detained, only to be released in the afternoon.

The march led by young women continued with enthusiasm, despite the bad weather.

Young people are handing out leaflets in Kurdish and German to explain the international conspiracy which took place 21 years ago and let to the capture of Öcalan and the policy of isolation against the Kurdish people's leader.

The third day ended in Bensheim Church where activists attended a seminar titled 'Women's Freedom Struggle' prepared by young women.
