‘Freedom for Öcalan’ banner campaign continues in Europe

The banner and poster campaign to protest the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan, launched on November 1, continues throughout Europe.

Activists displayed banners and posters in several locations in Europe demanding freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Activists from the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ) denounced the aggravated isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan who has been held in the Imrali High Security Prison since 1999 and demanded his freedom.

In Bordeaux and Libourne, France Kurdish women’s movement and Democratic Kurdish Community Center organised actions to protest against the aggravated isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader and to highlight the demand of millions of people for his freedom.

As part of the campaign launched on November 1, similar actions have taken place in dozens of cities across Eurorope.
