French police attack people protesting after deadly attack on Kurdish association

Those gathering after the attack on Kurdish association in Paris were attacked by the police.

The Kurdish Cultural Center in the French capital Paris was targeted by an armed attack on Friday. According to eyewitnesses, an armed assailant opened fire on the Kurdish Cultural Center before shooting at a restaurant and a hairdresser’s salon owned by the Kurds on the same street. While the attack has resulted in the death of three people and injury of more, the assailant, reportedly 69 years old, has been arrested by the police.

Masses gathered in front of the Democratic Kurdish Community Center to express their reaction in the wake of the armed attack.

The French police attacked the crowd using tear gas in an attempt to disperse the gathering.

People continue waiting outside the Kurdish association despite the crackdown by the police.
