German arm of Long March leaves Saturday from Dortmund

The German arm of the Long Marches, which will take place in 6 different countries organised by TCŞ and TekoJIN, will start in Dortmund on Sunday 29 May and end in Düsseldorf on 1 June.

Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ) and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer (TekoJIN) are organising long marches in 6 countries to protest the Turkish state's invasion and genocidal attacks against Kurdistan.

Youth organizations in Germany will begin the long march on Sunday 29 May in Dortmund. The march, which will end in Düsseldorf on 1 June, will stop in the cities of Essen and Duisburg.

Stating that HPG guerrillas have been resisting the NATO-backed Turkish state's tanks, artillery and chemical attacks for nearly 50 days, the youth organizations called on all Kurds and their friends to join their march to protect the honour struggle.

Calling on everyone to "Defend Kurdistan" in a written statement, the youth organizations said: "Considering all these attacks and invasion attempts, the attitude that the youth and our people should take and should adopt is clear. Our people, with great self-sacrifice and Apoist spirit, should participate in every action and activity organised by young people, who are always at the forefront, and undertake an indispensable task to develop a youth leadership that will respond to this process. The guerrilla, waging a relentless war for our people, draws its strength and morale from the unity of our people. On this basis, we call on all Kurds and their friends to defend Kurdistan, to support the struggle of the guerrillas who displayed an epic resistance, and to attend the Long March."
