German police attacked Kurds, who protested the removal of Ocalan’s posters on Ocalan Library bus in Hannover.
German police attacked Kurds, who protested the removal of Ocalan’s posters on Ocalan Library bus in Hannover.
Hundreds of Kurds who gathered together to greet Ocalan Library bus in front of Hannover’s main station protested German police’s removal of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan’s posters and banners. The police also removed Ocalan’s poster on the bus.
German police also attacked the activists who were wearing t-shirts with Ocalan’s images on them. Some protestors were injured as a result of the attack.
The bus tour appealing for Öcalan’s freedom, called “Öcalan Library – freedom for Öcalan and all political prisoners”, had started its tour on 9 October in Strasbourg, France, and after four weeks of activities in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, it has reached German city of Hannover.
