Doug Nicholls, General Secretary of the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU), one of the Freedom for Ocalan campaign organisers and a patron and a supporter of Peace in Kurdistan Campaign has been interviewed by journalist Erem Kansoy.

Nicholls highlighted that Mr Ocalan is a key for peace in Middle East and the region and commented on the situation of political prisoners in Turkey.

The general secretary of the GFTU underlined that it is hard to see a democratic picture when looking at Turkey. Talking about detained and prisoned HDP deputies, executives and members, Nicholls sent solidarity message also on behalf of his union.

Finally Nicholls underlined that governments need to put more pressure on Turkey to achieve freedom for Ocalan and the start of negotiations.
