People demonstrating all over Kurdistan are demanding an end to the military operations and to police terror. Again today shops in Silvan, Nusaybin and Þirnak remained closed. The streets of Silvan this morning were deserted as people too decided to stay inside to protest the increasing military operations.

Mayor Abdullah Eflatun, BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) members, representatives of various associations and other BDP politicians will go on hunger strike today. This evening there will be a press conference.

Deserted the streets of Nusaybin and Þirnak as well. People are angry and sad by the death of a young boy killed by an armored police vehicle.
