An explosion occurred in Ozalp (Van) next to the military shooting polygon of the Military Base of Gen. Mustafa Muðlalý. According to reports, children where playing nearby the polygon, and at least one boy has been reported dead.

It appears that the children had found an hand grenade and pick it up, causing the blast. Four other children have been injured and three of them are said to be in serious conditions.
