Guerrilla actions in Agri, Hakkari and Sirnak

People’s Defence Forces (HPG) guerrillas carried out actions against Turkish army in Agri, Hakkari and Sirnak provinces in Northern Kurdistan.

According to the statement by HPG’s Press Communication Office, on January 18, HPG guerrillas targeted Turkish soldiers who are guarding the construction site of the border wall in Agri. The action took place in Glidag region and guerrillas killed at least two Turkish soldiers and wounded three others.

In Hakkari guerrillas hit Turkish military positions in Koordine Hill in Cukurca three times between January 15-18 and HPG said that at least three positions were completely destroyed. The exact number of killed soldiers couldn’t be determined.

HPG guerrillas also destroyed a military position and a watchtower in rural Uludere, a district of Sırnak province on January 18.
