The family of HPG guerrilla Sefa Kızılkaya, who fell martyr during Turkish air strike on 13 August in the Bitlis countryside, applied to the Bitlis Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on 7 September to collect his remains.

After the application, the family was sent to Van to be delivered his remains. The family reached Van yesterday and was able to recover the remains of their son after the legal procedures.

Guerrilla Kızılkaya was buried in Yeniköy Cemetery in Bağlar district of Amed, where he was brought during the night.

No one other than family members were allowed to attend the funeral of Kızılkaya, who was buried under police blockade.
