Hashd al-Shaabi opens artillery fire on Kurdish villages

Hashd al-Shaabi opened artillery fire on Kurdish villages near Tuz Khurmatu on Monday.

On Monday at 11h, Shiite militia loyal to Iraq’s central government opened artillery fire on villages in Hencire mountain and Dawda region near Tuz Khurmatu.

The attack continued for about one hour and Lek, Newcul, Tewal, Kirmik, Zenane and Warne villages were affected by the bombing.

There is no news on loss of life or damage but several residents fled their homes. Hashd al-Shaabi claims that resistance groups are based in the area.

The militia group massacred a large number of Kurds and set homes of Kurds on fire during the invasion on October 16.
