The HBDH Kurdistan Committee said that it carried out a sabotage action against the personal vehicle of O.Y., defined as a "guardian of the Palace and colonialism". The action was carried out in the 13 Mart neighbourhood in Mardin on 14 July.

The statement added: “We salute the 14 July death fast resistance fighters, who have turned their bodies into a field of resistance and honour for the freedom struggle against the enslavement policy imposed by the colonial powers in the prison of Amed in Kurdistan, and planted the seeds of the freedom struggle for 39 years with the slogan of 'live is to resist'.”

The statement continued: “The will of comrades Kemal Pir, Hayri Durmuş, Akif Yılmaz and Ali Çiçek has turned into a huge popular movement of will today. At the same time, their names became the foundations of our united revolution, which is the liberation of not only Kurdistan but also of the workers and laborers of Turkey today.

We, the HBDH Kurdistan militia, salute the insurgents, who are still following the path of the 14 July resistance, who are still on hunger strike in today’s prisons.”
