The People's United Revolutionary Movement (HBDH) Martyr Helmet Militia set fire to a police post in the Silopi district of Sirnak province to protest the isolation of Öcalan.
In a written statement detailing the action, the HBDH Martyr Helmet Militia said: “Your prisons remain helpless in the face of the revolutionary will! No prison can chain the revolutionary will.”
The statement continued: “We are burning the streets to protest the horrific isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been targeted by the Imrali annihilation system for a quarter century!
As the HBDH Martyr Helmet Militia, we carried out an action with molotov bombs in Silopi on the evening of June 27. Blocking the road with Molotov bombs, our militias delivered a propaganda speech denouncing the fact that the real target of the isolation and annihilation attack in the person of Abdullah Öcalan is our working people, vowing that the revolutionary will is going to emerge victorious from this unequal war. In addition, the police post was set on fire with molotov bombs. Our militia has successfully left the area after the action.”
