People’s Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairs Selahattin Demirtas and Figen Yuksekdag have celebrated the Easter Festival in a written statement.

The statement stressed that the festivals and religious days are the ones in which fraternity, friendship and solidarity feelings come to the fore.

“We celebrate the Easter Sunday of the Armenians and other Christians in Turkey, hoping that Turkey becomes a land of peace, fraternity and freedom where all the faith groups live safely”, said the statement of the co-chairs.

The co-chairs said they want to announce once again on this occasion that they will continue their struggle to turn Turkey into a country where all the citizens live in equal conditions and where all the ethnic and faith groups enjoy their own culture, and use their mother tongues and identities freely and where they have all the opportunities to develop them further.
