HDP Co-chair Demirtaş sentenced to 5 months in prison
Following the cancellation of the Parliament membership of HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ, HDP Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş has been sentenced to 5 months in prison.
Hearing of the case, in which HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş stands trial, was held at Doğubayazıt 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance today.
Demirtaş was sentenced to 5 months in prison on charges of “humiliating the Turkish nation, Turkish Republic state and institutions of the state”.
