A Turkish drone strike on a car in the northern Syrian district of Tirbespiyê killed Qamishlo Canton Co-Chair Yusra Darwish, her deputy Lîman Şiwêş and driver Firat Tûma on Tuesday.

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) released a statement and said: “We condemn the deadly attack against Qamishlo Canton Co-Chair Yusra Darwish, Lîman Şiwêş and Firat Tûma, which is the last link in the series of murders against the will of Rojava people. We call on world public opinion to show sensitivity in order for these murders committed before the very eyes of the whole world to be stopped immediately.”
