Invited to Brussels by the European Parliament President Martin Schulz, HDP delegation led by Co-President Selahattin Demirtaş began their official visits in Europe. HDP officials and Schulz are currently in a meeting in Brussels.
After their visits in Southern Kurdistan, HDP delegation led by Co-President Selahattin Demirtaş arrived in Europe after being invited by the European Parliament President Martin Schulz. HDP Deputy Co-President in charge of Foreign Relations Hişyar Özsoy, HDP Deputy Co-President in charge of Law and Human Rights Meral Danış Beştaş and HDP Mardin Parliamentarian Mithat Sancar accompany Demirtaş in the Belgian capital Brussels.
The HDP delegation will meet EU officials over the next two days.
The meeting with Schulz is being held closed to the press. Schulz and Demirtaş are expected to make a press statement after the meeting.
