HDP Elazığ Provincial co-chair Dede: Imperialist hegemony exposed in Imrali

HDP Elazığ Provincial co-chair, Imam Dede, referred to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and said: "Capitalist and imperialist hegemony has been exposed in Imralı."

The aggravated isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan continues. Abdullah Öcalan, who last spoke on the phone with his brother Mehmet Öcalan, has not been heard from since that day. While his lawyers and family's applications for visits are constantly being rejected, he is not given the right to make a phone call or write and receive letters.

HDP Elazığ Provincial co-chair Imam Dede spoke about the causes and consequences of the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan. Stating that he sees the isolation as a continuation of the project implemented by the international Gladio forces against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, Dede noted that the imperialist forces carried out a 30-year project and ended it with isolation.

Dede added: "They wanted to prevent Abdullah Öcalan’s paradigm from spreading across the Middle East. They saw isolation as the ultimate way to achieve this. They also deepened the isolation with further oppression. This project was cooked in the Pentagon kitchen and served in America, England and France. The whole plan took place with the participation of Greece and Turkey. The imperialist forces stepped in because they understood the importance of the Kurdish people's leader's paradigm before anyone else."

Stating that the patriotic, democratic and socialist segments grasped this paradigm too late, Dede said: "Therefore, the process has led to the development of a policy aimed at closing parties and institutions. After capturing the Leadership, they began to act more comfortably. While doing this, they tried to break the Leader's ties with the masses. They aimed to destroy it and leave it to rot there. But the Leadership has such a paradigm that they could not prevent it. The capitalist and imperialist hegemony was exposed in Imralı. Because the Leadership had exposed their aims and objectives."
