HDP election event attacked in Manisa

A fascist mob attacked HDP convoy in Manisa

Democratic Peoples's Party (HDP) supporters and the HDP Manisa Provincial Organization gathered at the entrance of the city of Manisa on Sunday. Thousand of vehicles had gathered to meet the HDP candidate, Sırrı Sakık.

Following the city tour, the HDP people who wanted to pass through Manisa Magnolia Square as part of the election program were cut off by a group of vehicles making the Grey Wolf sign (fascist sign).
The mob chanted racist slogans and two people were slightly injured in the resulting phisical exchange.

The mob, which damaged the vehicles of the HDP members also made calls through the social media inviting people to gather in front of the HDP  provincial building.

While the events were prevented from degenerating thanks to the responsible attitude by the HDP, the mob remained in the city center. Police did not take any action.

Seeing that no concrete steps were taken by police, the HDP Manisa Provincial Executives urged all people to gather against the provocative attack at the party's building.

Thousands of people gathered in front of the building, waiting for possible attack.

The HDP tried to talk to the police in order to keep the program as scheduled.
