As part of an investigation carried out by the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, many houses were raided simultaneously early this morning.

The police confiscated digital materials.

The following people have been taken into custody after the raids: HDP Akdeniz District co-chair Feyza Kaya, HDP Toroslar District co-chair Cabbar Karabeg, HDP Akdeniz Municipality Council member Nuray Aslan and HDP Mersin Provincial Organization executives Nazan Dündar, Cihan Kökbalık and Ercan Alp.

The HDP members were taken to the Provincial Police Directorate. The number of detainees is expected to increase.
