The delegation first went to Banê Senefîsê (Yafes Cemetery).
The next visit was to Cizre Asri Cemetery, where the delegation visited the graves of those who lost their lives at different times in the conflict.
Making a short speech at the cemetery, HDP Şırnak MP Nuran Imir commemorated those who lost their lives and saluted their struggle.
Imir said: “We are on the eve of another feast and there is another war on our borders. We want all holidays to be an atmosphere of peace and calm. But the government is waging war to prolong its own life. The children of these people are being murdered. We have paid a great price for defending peace, and we will continue to defend peace against warmongers no matter what.”
Imir announced that a “vigil to defend peace against war and to defend life against death” will be launched at the party buildings. “We call on all our people to join our vigil.”
