HDP Amed parliamentarians visited the families of those people who were massacred during the bomb attack on HDP’s June 5 rally in Amed. HDP Amed parliamentarians İdris Baluken, Altan Tan, Çağlar Demirel, Feleknas Uca, Sibel Yiğitalp, Ziya Pir, Nimetullah Erdoğmuş, Nursel Aydoğan, Edip Berk and İmam Taşçıer, who had broken a record and received nearly 640 votes in Amed, visited the families of Ramazan Yıldız, Şeyhmus Kaçan and Necati Kurul. Amed co-mayor Fırat Anlı, administrators from HDP, BDP and MEYADER, and Peace Mothers Council members accompanied HDP Amed parliamentarians.
HDP Amed parliamentarians first visited the family of Necati Kurul in Selahattin Eyyübi neighborhood of Bağlar district in Amed. From here, parliamentarians went to 450 Evler to visit the family of Berat Tanrıverdi, who had had a heart attack as election results came in on the night of June 7. Later, parliamentarians visited the family of Şehmus Kaçan.
HDP Amed parliamentarian İdris Baluken spoke during the visit to Kaçan family and said that they fulfilled their promise to overcome the 10 percent threshold. Baluken highlighted that this was their promise to the martyrs of Amed massacre, and said that attackers’ aim of killing hundreds of people failed. Parliamentarians’ visit ended with prayers and condolences.
