The HDP co-chair met people in Silvan as part of the election campaign.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairperson Pervin Buldan was in Silvan district of Amed on Tuesday, as part of the election work.
Buldan said that she was honored to meet the people of Silvan. “Those who ruled this country - said Buldan - have never felt the suffering of the people of Silvan. We have grown up with this pain, we have walked with this suffering. But we didn’t bow in front of anyone. We will not kneel in front of Recep Tayyip Erdogan. As if this anguish was not enough, they are playing with Kurds, with the people of Amed, to make them suffer even more pain”.
Buldan said that the AKP, having realised that it is losing, is now trying to “run its electoral campaign over Manbij and Qandil”.
Buldan addressed the AKP and Erdogan and said: “Take your hands away from Kurds, nobody can use the Kurdish people's blood for their own politics. No one can make politics with Kurdish children's blood. This country doesn’t want children to keep dying. The peoples of this land want to live in peace together. But, as we say this, they decided in Ankara to go to war”.
Twenty days to go
Reminding that only 20 days are left before the election, on 24 June, Buldan added: “We can see that the AKP has ended its journey. We know that the AKP can no longer govern Turkey. Let this country be governed by these nice people, and let Demirtaş govern it”.
Buldan reacted to Erdogan’s insisting that “There is no Kurdish problem”, by saying: “We Kurds will not allow any of our vote to go to other parties, Kurds will be united”.
24 June will be a day of great hope
Buldan ended her remarks by saying: “24 June will be an important date for the future of this land. For our future, for the future of our children it will be very important what we decide in this election. We can say yes once again to the past we have been experiencing for 16 years. Or we can walk hand in hand on 24 June with great hope”.
