Police raided the hotel where HDP Istanbul MP Hüda Kaya was staying in Afyon province last night. Kaya was taken into custody by use of force and she was handcuffed after police surrounded the building with armored vehicles.

The operation was conducted in line with the instruction of Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office. Kaya was taken to İzmir to be referred to Amed today, but she is still held at Adnan Menderes Airport.

Reports suggest that Kaya is still held at the airport due to a flight delay because of weather conditions, and she will reportedly give a statement from İzmir Courthouse to Diyarbakır Courthouse via conference system SEGBİS if the flight is not allowed by weather conditions.
