Evaluating the results of the election, HDP co-chair Sezai Temelli said: “We have achieved a great success against the trustee mentality.” 

HDP co-chair Sezai Temelli held a press conference on election results at the party's headquarters.

Temelli said: “The election results have not yet been fully declared, but they show us that democracy has won, that hope has won. Turkey is in a great circle of injustice. We hope that these elections will be instrumental in getting out of this circle. Democracy has won, peace has gained. We would like to thank the Kurdish people for marching in front of this process in the campaign run by HDP. Our people have led the way for Turkey.”

Temelli added: “During the campaign, we lost 4 lives in prison. We campaigned under an unprecedented embargo in history. We thank everyone.

We have achieved a great success against the trustee mentality. In the West, we hold back the AKP-MHP block. Our strategy in this election was an option. How happy we are that this option has been chosen.”
