Peoples Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair, Sezai Temelli, spoke at the party's group meeting on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by families reclaiming the bodies of their children and relatives who were taken from the Garzan Cemetery in Bitlis to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute.

Temelli started his speech by commemorating the late '68 generation revolutionary leader Teslim Töre and murdered lawyer and bar chair, Tahir Elçi.

Prisons

Temelli reminded that 15 prisoners have been on hunger strike for 15 days in Osmaniye Prison. "We call on the Minister of Justice once more - said Temelli - to take the necessary steps to solve the issues related to prisons."

Political genocide operations

Temelli underlined that "The government alliance continues to increase the dose of violence against HDP every passing day. In Esenyurt, our friends were detained and arrested. They were not accused of anything concrete. The violence of fascism continues with fabricated evidence, detention and arrests. You can go on with many detentions as you want. You will not intimidate us."

Early elections

Temelli reiterated the call for early elections to be called. "We are fighting against the trustee regime for a democratic parliamentary government. We call early elections to confine the AKP-MHP bloc, which is a major obstacle to democracy, to history. We call for early elections to send the appointed trustees and the fascism of the AKP-MHP alliance to the bin."

Temelli added: "As the first step of the Democratic Constitution, we call for early elections to defeat the AKP-MHP alliance. As HDP, we will surely bring the democracy option we began to implement on 31 March to the conclusion."
